Drink responsibly.
Good days start with good choices. How to enjoy Amari and La Santé safely, and where to get help.
Last updated 29 September 2026
We make drinks for good days: brunches, sunsets, celebrations with people you like. Those days only stay good when drinking is done with care. This is what we ask of everyone who enjoys Amari or La Santé, and what we hold ourselves to.
Know the law where you are
The legal drinking age in India is set by each state and ranges from 18 to 25. Know the rule where you are, and never buy or serve alcohol for anyone below it. Some states and districts also restrict or prohibit alcohol altogether, and many limit how much you may carry across state borders.
Never drink and drive
Even small amounts of alcohol slow your reactions and affect your judgement. Driving under the influence is an offence under the Motor Vehicles Act, and in India the limit is 30 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, which you can reach with very little. If you are drinking, don't drive or ride. Plan a sober driver, a cab or a place to stay before the first glass.
Enjoy it at your own pace
- Eat first, and while you drink. Food slows how quickly alcohol reaches your blood.
- Alternate with water. One glass of water between drinks keeps you hydrated and slows the pace.
- Know your drink. Spirits like whiskey are much stronger than sparkling drinks. Check the label for the strength (% ABV) and measure your pours.
- Count your drinks and set a limit before you start. Don't top up a glass that isn't empty; it makes counting hard.
- Have alcohol-free days every week.
- Never pressure anyone to drink, or to drink more. “No thanks” is a complete answer.
When not to drink at all
- If you are under the legal drinking age.
- If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Before driving, riding, swimming, operating machinery or anything else that needs full attention.
- If you are taking medicines that interact with alcohol. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- If you have a health condition affected by alcohol, or are recovering from alcohol dependence.
How we market our brands
We follow India's rules on alcohol advertising. We don't direct our marketing at anyone under the legal drinking age, we don't link drinking with driving, sporting performance or success, and we don't encourage excessive drinking. Everyone who works with our brands, including our sales team, creators and partners, is expected to hold to the same standard.
Worried about your drinking, or someone else's?
